Farm Hand / Poultry Farm Worker – Baiada Poultry

About Us

Baiada Poultry is one of Australia’s leading poultry producers, supplying well-known brands such as Steggles and Lilydale. We are committed to high standards of animal welfare, food safety, and farm operations.

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable Farm Hand / Poultry Farm Worker to support daily operations on broiler chicken farms, focusing on animal care, farm hygiene, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

Feed and water poultry according to farm schedules
Monitor bird health, behaviour, and growth performance
Report illness, injury, or mortality concerns
Assist with vaccinations and basic animal health tasks
Clean and maintain poultry sheds and equipment
Manage bedding, ventilation, and temperature systems
Follow strict biosecurity, hygiene, and safety protocols
Assist with bird placement, catching, and loading
Support farm inspections, pest control, and general duties
Work closely with Farm Managers and senior staff

What We’re Looking For

Willingness to work in a physically demanding, hands-on environment
Interest in animal care and farm operations
Ability to follow strict procedures and biosecurity rules
Reliability, attention to detail, and strong work ethic
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or rotating shifts if required
Previous farm or livestock experience (preferred but not essential)
