Palliative Care Nurses

Are you a highly motivated nurse looking for a rewarding position within Private Healthcare?
We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Palliative Care Nurses (EN or RN) to join our growing palliative care service. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a supportive multidisciplinary team focused on providing exceptional, person-centred care to patients and families during some of life’s most important moments.

About the role

As a Palliative Care Nurse (EN or RN), you will provide high-quality clinical care and emotional support to patients with life-limiting illnesses. You will play an essential role in symptoms management, end-of-life care, patient advocacy and supporting families and carers.

Key responsibilities:

Delivering compassionate and evidence-based nursing care
Assessing pain and complex symptoms effectively
Supporting patients and families emotionally and psychologically
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Participating in discharge planning and care coordination
Maintaining accurate clinical documents
Contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Essential Criteria:

Authority to work in Australia
Current AHPRA Registration (no restrictions)
Experience in palliative, oncology and aged care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
To work well both independently and within a team

Desirable

Postgraduate qualification or studies in palliative care
Experience with syringe drivers and symptoms management
Knowledge of advanced care planning and end-of-life care pathways
