About the role

We are looking for a Credit Officer to join the growing team on a permanent, full-time basis.

As a Credit Officer, you will support the credit team by maintaining credit accounts within a designated client portfolio while identifying any financial risks and minimising exposure to bad debts in accordance with Elders policies.

Responsibilities
As a Credit Officer, your responsibilities will include:

Becoming a trusted partner across a portfolio of branches
Implementing credit control for the branch network and associated class accounts
Preparing submissions, coordinate approvals assessing credit worthiness
Monitoring and actioning daily reporting
Undertaking credit searches and establishing new accounts
Associated account maintenance and processing
Work with branches to manage and collect overdue accounts

About you

To succeed in this role, you:

Are a team player with the ability to engage and build trust with stakeholders is a must
Have previous experience in a credit collection, accounts receivable or similar role Demonstrated understanding of the application and debt recovery process
Are comfortable making difficult decisions quickly and independently
Are professional with high work ethic and personal integrity
Can remain task focussed and prioritise under pressure
Have advanced proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite
