Full Job Description

 Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality café-style breakfast, lunch,

and light meal options.

 Plan, develop, and update menus while considering customer preferences,

seasonal ingredients, and cost efficiency.

 Monitor food quality throughout all stages of preparation, cooking, and

presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.

 Estimate food requirements, control stock levels, and assist with ordering food

supplies and kitchen inventory.

 Maintain effective stock rotation, storage, freezing, and preservation of food

items to minimize waste.

 Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all

times.

 Manage kitchen operations efficiently, particularly during busy service periods, to

maintain timely food service.

 Discuss menu planning, food preparation, and operational requirements with

management and other staff members.

 Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on food preparation

procedures to kitchen staff.

 Supervise, train, and support junior kitchen staff to maintain high performance

and workplace standards.

 Monitor portion control and food costs to help achieve business profitability

targets.

 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in accordance with

workplace health and safety requirements.

What we are looking for?

 At one or two years of experience as a Cafe Chef or Cook, preferably in a fast-paced

environment

 Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent and be able to

demonstrate their skills and experience in a commercial kitchen environment.

 Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation

 Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

 A passion for creating delicious, high-quality cafe-style dishes

 Ability to work well in a team and a positive, customer-focused attitude

 Food safety and hygiene certification

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,428.43 per year

Experience:
