We are seeking an experienced Carpenter and Joiner to join our team primarily in Mitchell Australian Capital Territory. This full-time role is pivotal in supporting our team with a wide range of carpentry and general construction tasks. As a Carpenter and Joiner, you will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of our projects, contributing to the growth and reputation of our company. You will be responsible for constructing and installing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, and cuts, shapes and fits timber parts to form structures and fittings.

- Requirements:
○ Trilingual proficiency ability, highly proficient in English (mandatory), Cantonese and mandarin speaking skills in business context is highly preferable
○ Proven experience in carpentry and joinery for at least 3 years;
○ Performing high-quality carpentry work, including framing, finishing, cladding, and cabinetry construction;
○ Undertaking general carpenter and joiner duties such as constructs, installs, renovates, and shapes structures and fixtures of wood, and timber parts;
○ Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and instructions to plan and execute tasks;
○ Collaborating with site manager and project manager, and other tradespeople to ensure timely and efficient project completion
○ Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following all health and safety protocols;
○ Providing excellent quality and unique builds;
○ Interpret technical drawings, work orders and specifications to determine joinery requirements, materials, dimensions and installation methods.
○ Select and prepare suitable materials, including solid timber, veneers, particleboard, laminates and engineered wood products.
○ Manufacture and assemble custom joinery products, including kitchens, bathroom cabinetry, wardrobes, built-in furniture and related timber fittings;
○ Erect wooden frameworks and panelised systems for buildings, renovations and extensions, fit doors, windows, staircases, skirting boards on construction sites and lay floorboards and roof framing according to the specifications, install timber decking, staircases, balustrades and other structural timber components;
○ Be responsible for the erect and install work’s qualification;
○ Be responsible for exterior building work including nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames;
○ Assembling prepared wood and install pre-made joinery products on site after workshop fabrication;
○ Measure, mark, cut, shape, machine and finish timber and manufactured board using woodworking machinery, power tools and hand tools;
○ May construct concrete formwork in accordance with the construction norms and standards;
○ Repair damaged wooden structures, frameworks and outdoor woodwork;
○ May use plastic laminates, perspex and metals such as hingers, locks, handles, drawer runners;
○ Ensure all joinery work meets quality standards, project specifications and workplace health and safety requirements;
○ Calculate material requirements, prepare cutting lists and organise work activities to meet project timelines.
Pay: $86,000.00 per year
