Full Job Description

Zamzam is a growing halal meat and catering business committed to providing premium quality meat products and exceptional customer service to the local community. We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Butcher to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Cutting, trimming, boning, slicing and preparing beef, lamb, goat and chicken products for retail and wholesale customers
Preparing and displaying meat products according to food safety and presentation standards
Operating meat processing equipment including band saws, mincers, slicers and cutting tools safely and efficiently
Assisting with stock control, inventory rotation and ordering requirements
Ensuring all products are prepared and stored in accordance with hygiene, WHS and food handling regulations
Preparing custom meat orders and marinated products for catering and customer requirements
Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment and storage facilities
Providing excellent customer service and product recommendations to customers

Skills and Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Butcher
Knowledge of meat preparation, boning and portion control techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Experience working with halal meat products will be highly regarded
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
